2016 Top Street Machine

Top Street Machine of the Show: Steve Hopes, 1968 Chev Camaro

There were some fantastic examples of Australian Street Machines on show. One highlight in particular was Steve Chaplin’s 1973 RX3 Mazda. It’s definitely a fine example of what can be achieved in this category.

But the Camaro was the king of the Street Machines, taking out best 2-door 49-70, and cementing a place in the top ten.
It’s a stunning example of craftsmanship, and an excellent example of what can be achieved on the Australian custom car scene. The engine bay, the interior and the gorgeous paint job are exceptional.

Thank you so much to Steve and Co. for bringing the car to the Show. It was great having you here, and we hope to see you around soon!
